Evaluation

Hmmmm Where do I start???? First I would like to thank Dr. Horowitz for making a class and subject like this accessible to the students. This class has been amazing, from the topics to the friendships made. I think what made this class more interesting and enjoyable was the students themselves. We were blessed to have a unique, diverse class each with their own special contribution. You all will be missed greatly.

Regarding the structure of the course:

Readings-I liked the readings and enjoyed reading them but I believe if someone did not have much of a background on Jerusalem there are better readings out there, that would be more beneficial for students lacking a background to read.

Blogging- I did enjoy the concept of blogging but unfortunately it was hard for me to keep up with so many of the readings and trying to post about everything in the course and at the same time read everyone else's. I did get a chance to read other's blogs but had a hard time responding to them. If there were some other system to help utilize the blog system allowing us to use it and keep up with using it.

Video Conferencing: An experience we probably would not be able to experience again. It was an honor to meet these people. I just wish we could have had it more interactive.

Definitely the students and faculty of Jerusalem need to be a part of this, it would have been great to meet them and experience what they experience.

The final projects are such a great idea and allowing the students to have the freedom to do what they want is still the best way to go.

Discussions in class were valuable and I wish we had more of them. I do not need to repeat the whole moderation thing. I wish current events were inserted at least in some of the course it would allow students to keep up with the region after reading its past.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!!!!
