In response to Jaime's post on Armstrong (Islam)

I came across something interesting in one of Jaime's postings that she referred to from Armstrong's book and also had questions about. She quotes Armstrong on page 24, describing Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) as the "Perfect Man". Jamie goes on to ask how Muslim's view this term and do we believe if he is a sinless person? Personally I believe to consider the term the Perfect Man as a precise description of the Prophet. This term is when one describes the Prophets religious duties and his obedience to Allah. I believe the term "Perfect Man" is a term used to provide a role model for the Muslims, in that this person is not only been chosen by Allah but he is a prime example on how one obeys and follows out his duties. Now that does not mean he is sinless, I believe he is human and made mistakes like every one of us but I believe his mistakes were of minor relevance to how he lived and carried his life on a day by day basis. I believe his sins were not great and his (good) deeds overcame them.
